Your Story Needs To Be Told (Part 2)

To Do ListYou have a story that needs to be told to the world especially what has truly worked well for you. I am going to share with you what has worked for me that I believe will encourage you to take one step closer for you sharing your story with others.

1. To Do List

If you were to ask me what was the #1 reason for my most productive days, I would tell you:

3 x 5 cards

When I write down on a 3 x 5 card what I want to accomplish for the day, I ALWAYS get more done than if I don’t write them down. I also circle the tasks when I finish them. Its motivating and somewhat fulfilling to see my “to do list” filled with circles at the end of the day.

2. Ask God For Direction

Only God knows what are lives are suppose to look like each day. Why not go to Him and ask Him for direction? This is where I find out what to write on my “to do list” each day.

God not only knows what He wants us to do, but He also knows WHERE  and WHEN to go there. When I have asked God the Where and When questions and followed His lead, He has set me up with countless divine connections with others. When you do this step, I promise you, He will bless you for your obedience.

3. Say What God Says

What would happen if you only say what God says about you? I know He wants us to be in agreement with Him. Amos 3:3 says, “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?”

This morning the Lord showed me saying YES to Him is really agreeing with Him. When I have wavered or doubted, I unfortunately was saying to God I did not agree with Him, trust Him or believed Him. Saying YES to what God says, is what I am committing to saying from now on.

4. Willing To Be Obedient

The Lord tells us in Isaiah 1:19, “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best of the land.” I’ve learned throughout the years that I can be obedient, but I also need to be willing to obey God.

Its a matter of the heart, isn’t it? Many times He has wanted me to bless someone with an encouraging Word from Him, but I had to WILLING to obey His leading. I’m sure glad I have because so many have been touched by what the Lord spoke to them.

 5. Ask For Help

I know when I say to God, “HELP ME”, He always does. I believe He wants each of us to ask Him daily for help. If not, then we are believing we can live this life without God.

When I do ask for help, many times He sends others into my life to help me. I know He has done the same for others too when God sent me to help them. So being humble to ask for help will not only benefit you, but others as well.

I hope you were encouraged with these steps that have helped me throughout my life. In my next blog post, I will be sharing with you my mistakes and failures. Many times we can learn more from other’s mistakes than we can from their successes.

Remember, your story needs to be told to the world.

Which step did I share with you that got your attention?
