Trusting God

Imagine how your life will be different when you are fully trusting God with all your heart. When you decide to trust Him, your life will NEVER be the same.God created you to trust Him with ALL your heart. Not most of your heart. All of your heart.

So what does in mean to trust God?

It really comes down to KNOWING Who God is so you can rely on Him for everything. Think about when you are getting to know someone you’ve never met before. You talk with them. You listen to them and you ask them a questions to find out if you really want to have a relationship with them or not.

When you GET to know God by talking, listening and asking Him questions, then you get to know He is THE ONE you can trust with all your heart.

For the past three years, I have been in full time ministry trusting God for literally everything. The more I get to know Him, the more I can trust Him. He has proven Himself faithful and trustworthy. I just need to remind myself more often of His character and His track record.

There will be a moment in your life where you will come to a place where you will CHOOSE to trust God with all your heart. But until then, your life will not be as rewarding nor fulfilling. You know why?

You are still trying to live life your way AND God’s way at the same time. How’s that working for you?

You can either live your way. Another way you can live is your way and Gods’ way together. You can live ONLY God’s way. Which one do you think He prefers?

“BUT HOW?” I hear you.

The big HOW question.

I’ll make it really simple for you.

Trust God for His surprises!

You can continue to try to figure things out on your own OR you can trust God for His SURPRISES. When you do, I promise you His Surprises are MUCH better than anything you could do on your best day.

One day the Lord asked me if I wanted to trust Him for His Surprises. I said YES. Then He said you can’t keep trying to figure out HOW things are going to work out. Of course I am thinking, “Well then HOW am I suppose to live this way from now?”

He told me again to trust Him for His Surprises.

Then what He said next, really pierced my heart…

“If you are trying to figure out how things are going to work out, then you DON’T trust Me with all your heart.”

WOW!

Convicted.

So it comes down to you trusting God or not. Its that simple.

Again the more you GET to know Him the more you will trust God with all your heart. But its your Choice! You can do this. You will do this, but only God’s Way.

10 years ago the Lord told me, “My Way is the Best Way!” Do you agree? SINCE His way is ALWAYS the Best Way, why not choose His way? He created you to live a life FOR Him and doing it HIS way.

Your life can change today by making the choice of allowing God to bless you with His Surprises.

Now doesn’t that make it more appealing to trust God with all your heart instead of leaning on your own understanding? Its either your way or His way. Your choice.

Scriptures on trusting God

I like the definition of Trust:

Reliance on the integrity, strength and ability of a person. Confidence.

Be honest with yourself right now. Do you REALLY trust God because you rely on His integrity, strength and ability? Has He not proven Himself over and over again in your life? Of course He has.

Psalm 145:13 tells you, “…The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does.”

Psalm 37:3 reminds you, “Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness.”

Psalm 33:4 makes it plain and simple for you, “For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.

Now if you could CHOOSE someone who you can trust with all your heart, would it not be one who is trustworthy and faithful? You WANT to trust God because of WHO He is and WHAT He has already done for you.

Finally, you need someone in your life who will be there for you at ALL times. God will never leave you nor forsake you. You need someone who loves you just as you are. God IS love. You need someone who forgives you and accepts you no matter how you are acting. He has already forgiven you and accepts you in the beloved.

The good news is: You ALREADY have the Perfect Someone who is ALREADY doing this for you because He loves you. When you know the importance of trusting God is TRANSFORMS your life forever.

Why are YOU going to trust God with ALL your heart?

I needed this affirmation. God has been telling me to trust Him. He’s been giving me signs to trust Him. I’ve had others tell me to trust him. But I have to fully let go of someone I truly care about. It’s scary. I have a fear of being alone. Not for right now, but for ? years to come. That I’m not truly complete without a man in my life. But yet all signs point to the opposite direction. I know I need to shut the door forever with this man. The season was over before, and I let him back into my heart. And I know that God wants me to fully let go and to TRUST Him. It’s amazing what you said in here the…..HOW…. has been my biggest struggle. I do trust God. I do hear him. But I’ve been trying to live God’s way AND my way. Just like what you said.
You summed up perfectly what I have been struggling with.
I know what I need to do. I’ve known that for quite some time. It’s going through the pain, and being able to stay strong through it all.
I am also aware do to your prophetic word, that God has great plans for me. And that’s exciting to think about!
I just have to get through the other stuff first. Ugh.

Thank you for posting what God knew I needed to hear most.

Trust is so huge when it comes to God. Many times we don’t realize when we are afraid to do something, its because we don’t Trust in Gods Love for us.
