How Transparency Is A Key To Freedom

Be free as a butterflyI want you to know how transparency is a key to freedom in your life. When the Lord gave me this revelation of transparency, I did not realize how simple freedom could be.

The first thing I thought of when the Lord wanted me to be transparent was to expose all the bad in my life. But God had other plans. It wasn’t until I knew God’s view on transparency of the TRUTH was going to give me freedom from deceit.

How To Be Transparent

When I looked up the definition of transparent I was very surprised. It means to be free from pretense or deceit; easily detected or seen through; readily understood. Look at those definitions again. Does that describe you? It can and I’ll show you how simple it is for you.

The best way I can describe what transparency is from God’s perspective is understanding and believing the TRUTH of who you are in HIS sight. An image the Lord gave me was if He was cutting though my body and soul then looking into my spirit. Imagine looking into a spirit that is perfect. When you believe the Truth you will know how transparency is key to your freedom.

When you look at your spirit you are looking at something that is truly remarkable and full of love. How can you see what is in your spirit? You can ask God for a revelation. You can also find Scripture verses that describe God’s Spirit.

Free From Lies And Deception

For example, the Fruit of the Spirit can be found in Galatians 5:22-23. Imagine seeing yourself being loving, joyful, patient, etc. How would you respond when a lie comes against you when you SEE yourself the way God does? Transparency is the key.

Again we want to be transparent so we can experience freedom from all lies and deception. I want you to live in the Truth and free from lies, don’t you? Once we have that goal in place, then we need to act on it. How do we do that?

Anytime you hear, see, feel a lie from the enemy, IMMEDIATELY replace it with the Truth. Why? Jesus did it and the devil left Him. Since it worked for Jesus, it will work for you and me.

No Resisting Consequences

I like what James 4:7 tells us, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” One day the Lord told me, “No resisting. No fleeing.” Let that sink in for a moment. After you submit to God, He is telling you to resist the devil, THEN he will flee. Remember, God will back up His Word.

We can choose to be resisters or allowers. We can continue to allow the enemy to lie to us. If we do, then we begin to believe his lies and not God’s Truth. Then we can feel stuck. Can you relate? I don’t want you stuck anymore. I want you SO free that others see Jesus in you.

So what you need to do is to equip yourself with the Truth, God’s Scriptures. The Word of God is a weapon to use against the devil. If we don’t use it, then how free can we be? God gave us the Sword of the Spirit to USE. It is the most powerful weapon we can use to experience victory in our lives.

If I were to ask you what lies from the enemy have you been believing, I’m sure you could come up with a few of them. Now if I would ask you what Scripture verses do you use to resist those lies, what would they be?

Overcoming Fear

The Lord gave me several verses to help with overcoming fear. You know what they all had in common? God’s Love. Why? It is God’s PERFECT LOVE that casts out fear. The more we agree, accept and believe God’s Love for us, the more freedom we can experience in our lives.

So starting right now CHOOSE to be transparent as you agree with God’s Word and use it every time against the enemy so you can live in freedom. Remember Jesus said, “And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.” Finally when you know how transparency is key to your freedom, make sure you share it with your friends. They will so glad you did.

Why are you now willing to be FREE?

Thank you so much for this post.

This resonated with what God’s been talking to my heart about getting free from negative things such as feeling rejected, insecurity, anxiety, depression, fear, and unbelief.

I’m willing to be free because I’m ready to “grow up” so to speak. I’m tired of believing the enemy’s lies and of believing misconceptions about who God is. I want to be full of God’s love everyday and to pursue holiness so I can see him.

I believe there are new places that God wants to take me in my personal time with him. He also has good plans for my health, my finances, and my career–not just for me to be fulfilled, but also to be a part of what he’s doing in other people’s lives.

Choosing to agree, accept, and believe in God’s love as told in scripture has been the theme of the season I’m walking in. There’s a deep hunger in me to spend more time in the scriptures especially, to seek God more intentionally and more disciplined than I have been accustomed to in the past; there’s also all the opposition that is getting in the way, but I’m choosing to press through.

Its so wise not to believe lies anymore but only God’s Truth. The revelation that “God Loves YOU” set so many people free. The more you invest in studying Scriptures, the more you will know just how much God loves you.

Because I am tired of going over the same old thing over and over and over again. I want to walk in the fullness of what God has called me to do. Total deliverance is what I am seeking.
