Why Do I Blog?

Today I asked myself, “Why do I blog?” I needed to know that answer before you knew why I blogged. My answer to that question came from my journaling time with God this morning.

He wanted me to know why I blogged in the past and what changes you will see in the future. Ideally I want the reason I do ANYTHING is because God wants me to do it. But if I just go along living life and don’t even know WHY I am doing it, then why do it in the first place? (Ponder that more a moment)

My Blog Is For God

God created each of us for Him. He knew I would be born in 1962. (Yes I am 56. Surprise!) God knew you would be here for such a time as this as well. He knew you would be reading this blog post. He set you up, didn’t He?

My relationship with God is my #1 Priority in life. So God wanted me to share my Journey with Him in this blog for you to be blessed. I allow the Lord to type through Me, but I am not doing this just for God.

My Blog Is For You

YOU are one of the biggest reasons I write these posts. Think about this for a moment. Right now you are reading this and its been written for you. (Others are reading it of course) Imagine God typing through my fingers a Love Letter for you. Ponder that for a moment before reading the rest of this post. Hmmm.

God speaks through me so much. Many times its through prayers for others. Recently its been through Facebook LIVE. Also this month I will be creating new videos for YOU on my YouTube Channel.  Again it goes back to God speaking through me for YOU.

My Blog Encourages You

If you read my other blog posts, you will find several of them where God is speaking right to your heart. I LOVE to encourage you and give you hope. What you are going through right now can change. Sometimes it can change overnight. Many times it takes a season before you see any change at all. But its my heart’s desire that you feel encouraged as you read these Love Letters from God to you.

God also asked me recently about how these posts are making the reader feel. Good question isn’t it? Then He shared with me that before I write a post or make a video to know AHEAD OF TIME how we want you to feel. In other words, He wants me to be much more aware of your feelings and emotions. Now you know another reason why I blog.

My Blog Renews Your Mind

In Romans 12:2 it says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” I believe what God is writing through me is helping you become TRANSFORMED.

How do you become transformed in the first place? Look at that verse again. The answer is found in renewing your mind. But how do you renew your mind where you see a significant transformation in your life?

I believe when you choose to mediate on God’s Word it changes the image you have on the inside of you. Joshua 1:8 tells you, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you^[ shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

My Blog Will Be Changing

One of the biggest changes I’ll be making is to be much more aware of how these blog posts will make you FEEL. God has really been helping me understand how I make others feel. I know I can’t control 100% of how I make anyone feel, but I can influence their feelings.

Another change God is leading me to make when I blog is to plan out what HE wants to write through me. I know the words come from God and He knows what He wants you to read. Again, why do I blog is because of God and you.

Finally, God wants me to schedule time each week to blog. He has already been speaking to me about scheduling time to create videos but also to write these blog posts for YOU. When I find out what day He wants me to write these blogs for you, I will let you know.
